Nice to meet you

I'm Michal, and I teach hands to listen to clay

I studied ceramics at Bezalel and spent six years working in studios in Kyoto and Lisbon. In 2014 I opened this studio in Florentin: a small room with a big window, seven wheels and a kiln that fires almost every night.

Anyone can make a piece they'll love using. So the groups stay small, the pace stays calm, and I come round to each of you until the movement clicks.

  • Up to 6 at the wheel, up to 8 for handbuilding
  • Clay, glazes and two firings included
  • Coffee, tea and homemade cake at the break
  • Classes in English or Hebrew

How it works

Three steps to a piece of your own

  1. Pick a date and message Michal

Michal replies on WhatsApp, usually within two hours, holds your spot and sends a payment link.

  2. Make it in the studio

Come in comfy clothes, grab an apron and a coffee, and work the clay with hands-on guidance. At the end you choose your glaze colors.

  3. Collect from the kiln

Your pieces are fired twice and ready in three to four weeks. Pick them up at the studio, or have them delivered anywhere in Tel Aviv.

Kind words

Rated 4.9 out of 5 from 186 Google reviews

I walked in knowing nothing and left with three mugs I drink from every morning. Michal is the most patient teacher I've met. She shows the same movement again and again until your hands get it.

Shira CohenIntro to the Wheel

We booked the couples workshop as an anniversary gift and it was our best evening of the year. The mugs came out just the right amount of wonky.

Aviv and LironCouples Workshop

We brought a team of 14 to Michal for a team day. Nobody looked at their phone for three hours, and everyone took home a bowl with their name carved in the bottom.
